PROFILE:The walls of our lobbies are not filled with sepia pictures of the founders in their 1920’s workshop. (On a positive note, you won’t get bored reading a long story.)
It all started in 1994, the year Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as South Africa’s first black president. Originally started as an OEM manufacturer, Positec distinguished itself from other Asian suppliers with its ability to design and manufacture products to the demanding quality standards required by a few of the largest, most prestigious professional brands in the industry.
All went fine until our customers started building their own manufacturing plants in China and we realized it was time to change the game. In 2003, we started a new journey of transformation to become a global brand company.
Today, a large array of products bearing our company brands can be found on the shelves of each of the top 10 largest home improvement retailers in the world….and we still don’t have any old pictures on our lobby walls.
